Management Team

Albert J. Bartosic, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Bartosic has responsibility for the overall operation of Standing Stone, including its business strategy, finance and operations. Mr. Bartosic brings over 25 years of management skills to the Company with a variety of firms.

Most recently, he was a partner at Zephyr Management, L.P., a private equity fund manager. He had worked in a number of industries including financial services, database management and technology.

Mr. Bartosic is a CPA and holds a M.B.A from New York University and a B.S. from Fordham University.

Mark W. Wurster, M.D., Founder and Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Wurster is the founder of Standing Stone and is a practicing hematologist, internal medicine physician and director of anticoagulation at Ohio State University, in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Wurster is the architect of the company’s eHealth solutions including CoagClinic, CholesterolClinic, HemaClinic and DM Clinic.

Dr. Wurster earned his medical degree from Brown University and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Elizabeth A. Akerman, J.D., Director of Customer Support

Ms Akerman has responsibility for the Customer Support and Training areas of Standing Stone. Prior to joining the Company, she worked for DuPont Pharmaceuticals as a CoumaCare specialist. Ms. Akerman is an attorney, licensed to practice in Massachusetts. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Pierce Law Center and a B.A. from the University of New Hampshire. She also attended nursing school and is a member of the United States Army Reserve.

Lester Demaree, Director of Business Development

Mr. Demaree has dedicated over 20 years to disease management in the cardiovascular arena. Bringing focused efforts in cardiology with a proven track record in project management and implementing complex patient management systems, Mr. Demaree is a graduate of Transylvania University with a degree in biology.  He has extensive experience in medical, pharmaceutical, device sales, managed care, and hospital sales and marketing.

Darrell Haney, Senior Director of Sales

Mr. Haney has over 25 years of management experience in the medical and Dental industries with a proven track record of success selling and marketing company products and services. He has extensive experience in development and management of operational programs, medical and dental device sales, and hospital sales and marketing. Mr. Haney is a graduate of Post College, in Waterbury, CT with a B.S. in Business Administration.

Dimitra Kefallonitou, Senior Director of Information Technology

Ms Kefallonitou has responsibility for information technology development at Standing Stone including the management, design and development of web applications, as well as development of interface solutions. Ms Kefallonitou has over 12 years of experience in the information technology arena in management, consulting, and development roles.

Prior to joining Standing Stone, Ms Kefallonitou developed large software systems for Perkin Elmer and the US Air Force. Ms Kefallonitou’s industry experience includes scientific instruments, health care and expert systems. Ms. Kefallonitou earned a MS in Computer Science from University of Pittsburgh and a B. S. in Physics from University of Athens, Greece.

Matthew Heydman, Director, Information Technology

Mr. Heydman brings over 15 years of information technology experience to Standing Stone and is responsible for the direction, integrity, security, and further development of Standing Stone's information systems and technology. He has broad IT experience working as an applications developer, systems administrator, and IT director in the medical education and equipment industries for companies such as Quintiles Medical Communications, Medical Education Consultants, and General Electric.
