Dr. Michael Smith, Clinical Coordinator at William W. Backus Hospital, will expalin the role of INR, Anti-Factor Xa and PTT in monitoring anticoagulation therapy. He will describe the monitoring parameters for specific anticoagulation therapies, list the counseling points for patients on chronic anticoagulation and describe the formulation of case-specific monitoring plans.
