Dr. Karen Fiumara, Patient Safety Officer at Brigham and Women's Hospital will discuss Inpatient DVT Prophylaxis in High Risk Med/Surg Patients.  Dr. Fiumara will discuss criteria for defining a patient as "High Risk" and efforts put into place at Brigham and Women's to increase practitioner awareness and overcome resistance to inpatient prophylaxis.
